Nagpur: With the divorce of 25-year old alliance between BJP and Shiv Sena, BJP and other parties have decided to fight the elections alone. In accordance with that Devendra Fadnavis and Sudhakar Deshmukh filed their nominations on September 26, 2014 for South-West and West Nagpur respectively.
The office of Election Commission decided to set a new precedence as never before and had decided to keep the press outside the very premises where the nominations were filed. The Nominations of Devendra Fadnavis and Sudhakar Deshmukh was in Tehsil Office.
Sudhakar Deshmukh arrived first followed by Devendra Fadnavis. Their cars were permitted in and unlike other times, he refused to speak anything near the gate.

He called all the media persons to the BJP office near Hotel Heritage for a press meet later.
Fadnavis then went to Sanvidhan Square and paid homage to Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar by offering floral garlands and later went to attend the press meet.
He was dressed in a crisp white Pajama Kurta attire with an over-coat and looked very relaxed in spite of a busy talk with various political parties.
