A youth was found murdered with face crushed beyond recognition. The unidentified youth’s body was found at about 11 am on Thursday behind a nallah in Kaikade Nagar slums under Sonegaon Police Station jurisdiction.
According to police, body of the youth was spotted by the nearby residents who immediately informed the Sonegaon police. A team of police reached the spot and after completing preliminary enquiries and paper work, they sent the body to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) for post-mortem. The face of the youth was mercilessly crushed, probably by heavy stones, by the murderers with the sole motive of hiding his identification. At first sight the slain youth appeared to be working as labourer. Police surmise the murder could be outcome of an old rivalry looking to the gruesome manner the youth was done to death. Cops have started questioning other labourers of nearby areas first to ascertain the identity of the victim and then crack the murder.
