Abused for hitting, bikers thrash cyclist to death in Hudkeshwar

A cyclist was succumbed to his injuries three days after he was thrashed by two motorcyclists when the cyclist hurled profanities at them. The accident took place n June 8 under the jurisdiction of Hudkeshwar police station.

The cyclist, Premdas Balaji Dhurve (32), a resident of Raut Nagar, was admitted to a hospital where he breathed his last on Wednesday after battling for life for three days. Hudkeshwar police registered an offence under Sections 304 and 34 of the IPC against the culprit motorcyclists.

Sources said Premdas was hit by a motorcycle on June 8 when he was going on his bicycle from Telephone Nagar Square to Dighori road. Premdas fell on ground with the impact. Premdas started swearing on the two youths and hurled profanities. Enraged over such indecent language from Premdas, they started thrashing him. Premdas sustained grievous injuries and was admitted to a hospital. However, he succumbed to his injuries on Wednesday.

Hudkeshwar police have started their investigations and launched a manhunt for the youths.
