The local crime department under police station Khaparkheda acting on a tip officials carried out raid at Chanakya Garden Restaurant, on Dahegaon road. The information received was that there is rampant gambling going on at the said restaurant.
On April 22 the crime branch laid a trap and carried out a raid in which the accused 1) Rahul Lokhande, 30 2) Ishwar Kakde, 28 3) Dnyaneshwar Thakre, 35 4) Jagdish Jangle, 31 5) Sagar Naidu, 33 6) Alin Singh, 30 7) Ershad Ansari, 29 all resident of Khaparkheda were arrested red handed while gambling and cash of Rs 13,000/ 8 mobiles, 4 bikes, 72 packs of cards, the total value of goods recovered is Rs 1,45,000/
The action was done under the guidance of police superintendent, Dr Arti Singh, additional police superintendent, Prakash Jadhav, police inspector, Rajan Pali by police officers Dinesh Labde, police sub-inspector Prashant Bharte, Pachpore, Bhandegaonkar and staff Pramod Bansod, Suresh Gate and Bhaurao.
