Lifer to six for murder of liquor seller

Nagpur News : Sessions Court  of S G Mehre on fifth floor of Nyay Mandir, today awarded life sentence to 6 people for murder of liquor seller. One of their accomplices, was however relieved by the court for lack of evidence.

It may be noted on 19th December, 2011, seven persons of Timki locality, Rajesh Ramprasad Kuikar, aged 34, Sheshrao Ramdas Kuikar aged 37, Mahesh Nathujji  Deogune, Sanjeev Shankar Kuikar, Santosh Sheshrao Kuikar, Devanand S Kuikar and Jitendra Sevak Kolte attacked the liquor seller Dinesh alias Guddu Shendkar of their  locality with swords, sticks and other sharp weapons.

The court was informed that these people had frequent quarrels and argument over trivial matters and ultimately on the ill fated day Guddu was murdered.

The First Information Report of the case was given by brother of the deceased, Deva at Tehsil Police Station.

The Investigating Officer in the case was police inspector Sudhir Nandarwar, who along with his staff meticulously collected the evidence of the case.

The trial was conducted by government pleader, Girish Dubey. The accsued were represented by  lawyers, R K Tiwari, Chetan Thakur, Mahesh Gupta, Ashok Bhangade.

Advocate  R K Tiwari while talking to Nagpur Today said that though they have lost the case at sessions court, the accused are planning to move High Court for getting relief.
