Nagpur News: The Nagpur group NCC is hosting the Inter Group Football Competition at Vayusena Nagar, in which the teams from all over Maharashtra are competing to be the State Champions. The tournament commenced on 22 Sep 13 and the finals would be played on 28 Sep 13.
The teams participating in the tournament are those representing various groups under Maharashtra Directorate of National Cadets. The teams slugging it out for the state level championship are Nagpur, Amravati, Mumbai A, Mumbai B, Aurangabad, Pune & Kolhapur group NCC. The teams have been divided into two pools with matches being played in the afternoon and morning slots. Lt Col Prashant Waghmare is the chief co-ordinator for the tournament. Mr Iqbal Kashmiree, of Nagpur District football association is the tournament commissioner along with technical support of Mr. C Naidu.

The tournament would also identify the talent for forming the team of Maharashtra Directorate to participate in the NCC National Games at Delhi, Scheduled to be held in the month of Oct this year.
