Heavy rains across Nagpur and connecting areas marooned the railway tracks throwing the rail traffic out of gear on Friday. This led to many trains including Rajdhani Express running beyond their scheduled time. The railway tracks were reportedly immersed in water level rising upto one foot . The trains got stationed around Chandrapur for hours due to heavy spell of torrential rains there.
However no update was given in this regard to the passengers who ran from pillar to post to get the correct information. Even the worried relatives who had come to receive their kin were dealt with confusion as they did not receive any response either at the enquiry counter or on the electronic displays. Even the announcements were not being made properly.

The chaos took hours to calm down as the tiff refused to die down.
