Nagpur: A 33-year-old woman approached Sadar police station against a man for allegedly raping her between July 19, 2017 and March 13, 2018 on the pretext of marrying her.
The accused has been identified as Sunny alias Chetan Sudesh Nikose (33) resident of Mohan Nagar near Hasanbagh garage.
The survivor reportedly met the accused in mid 2017 and shared her number. The duo started talking on social media platforms and later developed a love affair. In the meantime, the accused expressed his sexual desire towards the 33-year-old. As he promised to marry her, the survivor also consented.
However, accused Nikose later stopped entertaining her and also started avoiding her calls and texts. Sensing something amiss, she approached Nikose but he refused to meet her and threatened her with dire consequences if she reveals anything about their love affair.
Subsequently she narrated her ordeal to her parents and later approached Sadar police station.
Sadar police have booked accused under section 379,(506)(2) of IPC and started the investigation.
