Knife wielding conman, woman attack, rob man near Railway Station

Nagpur: Confusion over running of a train to Rajasthan cost a man dearly as he was not only robbed but also attacked by an unidentified man and woman with knife.

A native of Amdi Mohalla, Parsheoni, district Nagpur, the complainant Bhojraj Dashrath Bagde (52) told police that he left home on Wednesday (May 23) night for Nagpur Railway Station to catch a train for going to his daughter’s town in Rajasthan. However, after reaching the station, he came to know that the Rajasthan train is next day. After spending night at the Railway Station, Bhojraj went to have tea and purchase tobacco pouch outside the station around 9 am next day (May 24). Near Ram Mandir, an unidentified man (aged 25-30) and a woman (around 30 years) accosted Bhojraj. The accused man tried to snatch money from Bhojraj’s pocket while the woman attacked him with a knife. Bhojraj received stab injuries on his head and calf of left leg. After injuring Bhojraj, the accused duo forcibly removed Rs 1200 from his pocket and fled the spot.

Ganeshpeth police constable Rameshwar, based on statement of Bhojraj Bagde, registered an offence under Sections 394, 397, 341, 34 of the IPC and launched a search to nab the two accused.
