Nagpur:
Former President of City Unit of Shiv Sena Shekhar Sawarbandhe, who has eventually left the party, has denied his connections with the recently formed Yuvak Sena, a social organization. Clarifying over media reports that suggested Sawarbandhe has formed a new outfit called Yuvak Sena to counter Shiv Sena, he stated that he had attended the Yuvak Sena programme as the organization had called him to guide them. “The reports saying I have formed a new outfit are not true. I have nothing to do with the Yuvak Sena Social Organization. Currently I am busy with my private life and focusing on my business and school affairs. In fact I am not connected with any political party at present,” Sawarbandhe clarified.

Similarly, the office-bearers of the newly formed Yuvak Sena Social Organisation Akash Pande and Shashikant Thakre have said that some youth activists working for different political parties have formed the Yuvak Sena Social Organisation. The formal launch of the organization was announced at a programme held at Patrakar Bhavan on June 14, 2016. Some prominent personalities were present at the programme to provide guidance to the newly formed organization. Shekhar Sawarbandhe too was present in the function. However, the newspapers and electronics media, in their reports, tried to suggest that the Yuvak Sena outfit was formed by Sawarbandhe. Sawarbandhe is neither an office-bearer nor trustee nor a member of the organization, Pande and Thakre clarified.

Yuvak Sena is a social organization with a 21-member Core Committee that runs it, they said.
