
District guardian minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule, MLAs Krishna Khopde and Vikas Kumbhare, MLC Girish Vyas, NMC standing committee chairman Bandu Raut, ruling party leader in NMC Dayashankar Tiwari, transport committee chairman Balya Borkar, Kishore Kumeria, corporator Anil Dhawde, Sangita Kalamkar, Sheetal Gharat, chief engineer Ulhas Debadwar and Ratan Barbate were also present on the occasion.
Gadkari said tarring gets damaged in Nagpur withing two to three years because the soil here is black. He said he constructed cement roads in the city for this reason during his stint as guardian minister. “Water accumulation issue was taken care of by construction of drain lines alongside roads. We also started recycling polluted water,”said Gadkari.

Bawankule highlighted the public works underway in the city. Balya Borkar said Barbate family provided ` 10 lakh for the beautification of the city.
