Another accused, Arjun Harikrishna Kahar (26), was acquitted due to lack of sufficient evidence.

According to the prosecution, the incident took place on June 8, 2024, when the victim, Badal Bhaurao Nimbarté (24), was called by the main accused to Bhim Nagar under the MIDC police jurisdiction. The accused reportedly harboured a grudge over a previous dispute.

When the victim arrived near Savitribai Phule Anganwadi to meet them, the accused, acting in concert, brutally attacked him using a sharp weapon and iron rod, resulting in his death.

Based on a complaint filed by the victim’s father, Bhaurao Nimbarté, police registered a case and subsequently arrested the accused after an investigation. Two minor accomplices involved in the crime were produced before the Juvenile Justice Board.

The charge sheet was filed by the investigating officer, then PSI Pankaj Sayam. The prosecution was led by Advocate Madan Senad, while the defence was represented by Advocates Jaltare and Chetan Thakur. Court proceedings were assisted by police constable Nitin Sirsat.

The verdict brings closure to a brutal case that had shocked the local community.
