Amravati (Maharashtra): A major scandal emerging from Paratwada in Amravati district has sent shockwaves across the state. What initially appeared to be a few viral clips has now escalated into a deeply disturbing case, with investigators suspecting the involvement of a larger, organized network.
Police have made a second major arrest in the case, detaining Ujer Khan Iqbal Khan. According to the investigation, he allegedly downloaded objectionable videos from the mobile phone of the main accused, Ayan Ahmad, and circulated them on social media. He is currently in police custody, and officials expect crucial leads to emerge during interrogation.
The prime accused, Ayan Ahmad, had already been arrested earlier and booked under multiple sections of the Indian Penal Code. A court has remanded him to police custody until April 21, 2026.
Over 350 Videos Seized, 180 Victims Suspected
In a shocking development, police have recovered more than 350 objectionable videos from the accused’s phone. Authorities estimate that around 180 girls may be involved in these videos. Identification of victims is underway on a war footing, with 8 victims identified so far, while efforts continue to trace others with strict confidentiality.
Given the sensitive nature of the case, a special team of women police officers has been assigned to ensure victims can come forward without fear or pressure.
Deleted Data and Cyber Investigation
Investigators have revealed that some crucial data was deleted by the accused. The cyber cell is currently working to recover the erased data, which could potentially expose more individuals or a wider network behind the operation.
Political Angle and SIT Demand
The case has now taken a political turn, with increasing demands for a Special Investigation Team (SIT). Authorities are probing whether this is an isolated incident or part of a larger organized racket.
MLA Raises Suspicion of Bigger Network
Pravin Tayade, MLA from Achalpur constituency, has demanded a thorough investigation and expressed suspicion of a larger network. He urged victims to come forward without fear, assuring them that their identities would be kept strictly confidential.
He also indicated that 10 to 12 more individuals could be involved in the case and stressed the need for immediate action against all suspects. “This may not be a single incident but part of a bigger racket,” he stated.
Police Appeal to Victims
District Rural Superintendent of Police
Vishal Anand confirmed that police are actively tracing victims and reaching out to families through women officers in plain clothes.
He revealed that since no complaints were filed initially for two days, police registered the case suo motu. Authorities have appealed to victims and their families to come forward and cooperate, assuring full legal support and confidentiality.
The case has created widespread panic and outrage across the district, with the investigation intensifying. Officials warn that more shocking revelations may surface in the coming days as the probe progresses.
