The incident has also brought attention to a growing concern around the role of social media in promoting nightlife venues. Industry observers and local users point out that some clubs aggressively market “Saturday night” events through influencers and curated online profiles, creating a perception of exclusivity and high demand.

In several reported cases across cities, such promotions have been linked to setups where individuals are lured through dating apps or social platforms to specific venues, followed by inflated billing or coercive payment situations. While not all establishments engage in such practices, the pattern has raised questions about the lack of regulation and accountability in influencer-driven promotions.

Experts warn that the combination of dating apps, influencer marketing, and nightlife promotions can create an environment where unsuspecting individuals may be targeted. Authorities are increasingly being urged to monitor such activities and ensure stricter checks on both digital promotions and on-ground practices.
