Electrical material worth Rs 1.44 lakh stolen from flat in Shantinagar

Nagpur: Shantinagar Police have registered a case after electrical equipment worth Rs 1,44,462 was stolen from a residential construction site in Mahesh Nagar.

The complainant, Mohammad Nawab Kavar Mohammad Kasim (50), a resident of CA Road, Gandhibagh, reported that his new flat under construction at Flat No. 617, C/50, Mahesh Nagar, had been targeted by unknown thieves. The site had electrical wiring bundles and copper pipes stored for construction work.

Between 8 pm on December 10 and 3 pm on December 11, unidentified burglars allegedly broke into the site and decamped with the stored items.

Based on the complaint, Shantinagar Police registered an FIR under Sections 305(A), 331(3), and 331(4) of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS). The case was registered by PSI Geeta Raskar, and the investigation is currently in progress.
