
Nagpur: In a horrific hit-and-run tragedy late Tuesday night, two young siblings were killed and another man critically injured after a speeding truck rammed into their motorcycle from behind at RBI Square under the jurisdiction of Sadar Police Station in Nagpur.
The incident occurred around 10:35 pm on December 2, 2025, when the truck (NL-01-AG-0868) being driven at high speed and in a reckless manner crashed into the motorcycle (MH-31-FK-1811) from behind and fled the scene, leaving the victims lying unconscious on the road.
The violent impact killed 11-year-old Rudra Sunil Singaldhupe on the spot. Simran Sunil Singaldhupe (12) and Sheshnath Singh (56), all residents of Plot No. 111, KGN Society, Katol Road, Gittikhadan, sustained severe injuries. They were immediately rushed to hospital for emergency treatment, but doctors declared Simran dead on arrival. The condition of Sheshnath Singh, currently undergoing treatment at Shantimohan Hospital, remains critical.
Police later traced and arrested the absconding truck driver from the Sitabuldi area. The accused has been identified as Sahendar Pancham Bin (37), a resident of Jangalmahal, Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh.
Based on a complaint filed by PSI Ashish Hirasinh Jadhav, Sadar Police registered a case against the driver under Sections 281, 125(A), 125(B), 106(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, along with Sections 134 and 177 of the Motor Vehicles Act. Further investigation is underway.
The incident has sparked grief and outrage in the locality, with residents demanding strict punishment for reckless drivers and urgent safety measures at accident-prone squares in the city.
