Nagpur: The Nagpur Bench of the Bombay High Court, comprising Justice Anil L. Pansare and Justice Raj D. Wakode, on November 25, 2025 passed further orders directing Hudkeshwar Police Station to produce the complete case diary in Contempt Petition No. 194 of 2025 filed by Sagar Ravindra Chintkutlawar.

Notably, the High Court had issued a contempt notice to former Police Inspector Dnyaneshwar Bhedodkar of Hudkeshwar Police Station over non-compliance in financial fraud probe. The contempt petition alleged wilful disobedience of the earlier directions dated August 13, 2024 passed in Criminal Writ Petition No. 290 of 2022, wherein the Court had directed the Investigating Agency to carry out further investigation into the alleged financial fraud involving accused Nilesh Tale and his financial establishment “Mandas Next Financial Services,” and to take necessary steps within three months.

During the hearing, the learned Assistant Government Pleader submitted that offences under the Maharashtra Protection of Interest of Depositors (in Financial Establishments) Act, 1999 were added on November 20, 2025. The Court, however, noted that these offences were invoked only after the petitioner approached the Court by filing the contempt petition and after notice was issued on November 11, 2025. To ascertain whether the directions in the order dated August 13, 2024 were complied with within the stipulated three-month period, the Bench has directed the respondents to place before the Court the complete case diary for the period from August 13, 2024 till date.

The matter is now listed for further consideration on December 8, 2025.

Advocate Laxmikant Jaiswal, representing the petitioner, stated: “The High Court’s direction to produce the complete case diary will enable a clear assessment of compliance with the earlier order and ensure that all statutory provisions, including those under the MPID Act, are duly considered during investigation. If any lapse is found, appropriate action as per law will follow.”
