
Nagpur: A massive fire broke out at the Rana Decoration warehouse located in Baghdadi Nagar, Mankapur, Nagpur, reducing goods worth lakhs of rupees to ashes. The preliminary cause is suspected to be a short circuit. Fire brigade teams rushed to the spot and managed to bring the blaze under control. Fortunately, no casualties were reported.
According to eyewitnesses, around 11 p.m., smoke began rising from the warehouse. Within minutes, the flames intensified and engulfed the decoration materials, plastic items, and cloth stored inside. Local residents immediately alerted the Mankapur police and the fire department.
Police reached the location promptly, and seven fire tenders were deployed to extinguish the fire. After nearly two hours of continuous efforts, the blaze was fully controlled. While there were no injuries or loss of life, the financial damage is expected to be substantial.
Fire officials said that initial inspection points to a short circuit as the likely cause. Police and fire department teams are conducting a detailed investigation to determine the exact cause and assess the total damage.
