
Under the directions of NMC Commissioner and Administrator, Dr. Abhijeet Chaudhari, and under the guidance of Additional Commissioner Smt. Vaishnavi B., and the leadership of Education Officer Smt. Sadhana Sayam, various Diwali-themed programs were organized for the students.
A vocational experience (Kāryānubhav) camp was conducted at the Gandhi Nagar Hindi Primary School and the Netaji Nagar Market Hindi Secondary School, where students created various useful household decorations. Teachers also educated the students about the significance of the Diwali festival.

Specific School Activities:
At the Netaji Market Primary School, a vibrant Rangoli competition was organized. Students created eco-friendly clay lamps (Diye) and sky lanterns, along with making beautiful greeting cards to share well wishes.
Students of the Netaji Market Secondary Hindi School also enthusiastically participated in crafting sky lanterns. Teachers wished the students a happy Diwali and appealed to them to celebrate an ‘Eco-friendly Diwali’.
The event was attended by Secondary Headmistress Smt. Chhaya Kaurase, Primary Headmaster Smt. Sharada Mishra, and teacher Shri. Vinayak Bhoyar and Smt. Sangita Gawde.
At the Gandhi Nagar Hindi Primary School, students celebrated an eco-friendly Diwali by wearing colourful traditional attire. Headmistress Smt. Bina Karosiya, along with other teaching staff, was present at the event.
These initiatives successfully fostered a sense of enthusiasm and joy among the students while promoting an environmentally conscious way of celebrating the festival.
