Nagpur: Central Railway has announced the operation of 80 Ashadhi special trains to Pandharpur and Miraj, catering to the large influx of pilgrims expected for the annual Ashadhi Yatra, scheduled to take place from July 1 to July 10 in Pandharpur.
This initiative aims to facilitate comfortable and convenient travel for devotees attending the significant religious event. Among the announced services are special trains originating from Nagpur, New Amravati, and Khamgaon railway stations.
Four services of special trains will run between Nagpur and Miraj. Among these, train No. 01205 will depart from Nagpur at 08:50 am on July 4 and 5, which will arrive in Miraj the following day. The return journey, train No 01206, will leave Miraj at 12:55 pm on July 5 and 6, reaching Nagpur the next day.
The trains will comprise two AC-3 Tier coaches, ten Sleeper class coaches, and four General Second Class coaches.
These trains will make stops at key locations, including Ajni, Wardha, Pulgaon, Dhamangaon, Chandur Railway, Badnera, Murtijapur, Akola, Shegaon, Malkapur, Bhusawal, Jalgaon, Chalisgaon, Manmad, Ahmednagar, Daund, Kurduwadi, Pandharpur, Sangola, Kavathe Mahankal and Arag.
Similarly, as far as special trains from New Amravati for Pandharpur are concerned, train No. 01119 will depart New Amravati station at 02:40 pm on July 2 and July 5. Train No. 01120, will leave Pandharpur at 07:30 pm on July 3 and July 6. Additionally, Khamgaon-Pandharpur specials will be available, with train No. 01121 departing Khamgaon at 11:30 am on July 3 and July 6, while train No. 01122 for Khamgaon will depart Pandharpur at 05:00 am on July 4 and July 7.
Bookings for these Ashadi Special trains will open on June 16 at all computerised reservation centres, and tickets can also be booked through the website of IRCTC. Tickets for unreserved coaches can be purchased through the UTS system at normal charges.
