Nagpur: In a sensational incident, a teenager from the Tajbagh area reportedly issued a ‘Sar Tan Se Juda’ threat to journalist Vinay Pande and a female individual over the Israel-Palestine conflict. The accused had allegedly uploaded an Instagram story doling out threats to Pande and the female.
Sensing the gravity of the situation he later deleted the story.

Following the threat, Pande approached Nagpur Police Commissioner Dr. Ravindra Singhal with a complaint.
Pande’s complaint highlights the gravity of the threat, which violates his right to report the news freely. The complaint states that the action by the accused also puts Pande’s life in danger and spreads fear among other journalists.
Pande has requested CP Singhal to take immediate action against the accused to ensure his safety.
“It is important to show that such threats will not be tolerated and to protect all journalists from similar dangers in the future,” reads the complaint.
CP Singhal has assured swift action on the complaint.
