Nagpur: In the suicide case of builder Abhijeet Bapurao Dhudhane, the investigators are currently focusing on financial burdens as a potential cause for his extreme step. Efforts are underway to recover documents related to Dhudhane’s financial situation to shed light on the circumstances that led to the unfortunate incident, said a police official.
The incident took place on Sunday at the Orbital Empire Phase 3 in Jaitala, an area still under construction with only a few residents. Dhudhane (44), a resident of Tatya Tope Nagar, reportedly jumped off the eighth floor of the building, causing immediate and fatal injuries.
According to the police, a resident living on the fourth floor of the building heard a loud thud around 12.30 pm on that fateful day. Alarmed by the sound, she rushed to investigate and was met with a devastating scene. Dhudhane lay injured on the ground, with a carton of milk lying nearby. The resident promptly informed the MIDC police, who swiftly arrived at the scene.
In their ongoing investigation, the police have reached out to some of Dhudhane’s relatives in an attempt to ascertain the motive behind his drastic action. It has been revealed that Dhudhane had previously attempted to take his own life. Friends and acquaintances of the deceased disclosed that he had been grappling with pancreatic disease for the past three years, which caused irregular sleep patterns and immense stress.
While the investigations are still underway, the authorities are looking into the financial aspect of Dhudhane’s life as a probable contributing factor. Recovering the relevant financial documents is expected to provide crucial insights into his financial burdens and potential pressures that may have led to this tragic outcome.
