Four, including pedestrian, killed in separate accidents in Nagpur

Nagpur: Four persons, including a pedestrian, were killed in separate accidents at different locations on Sunday in Nagpur.

A 42-year old woman was killed in a road accident when a speeding Bolero SUV hit a motorcycle on which she was riding pillion on Sunday evening. The accident occurred at GPO Square in Civil Lines of Sadar police station.

The deceased was identified as Nisha Ganesh Hiranwar, a resident of Dharampeth, near Bole Petrol Pump. According to police, Hiranwar was riding pillion on her brother Vipin Bharat Siriya’s two-wheeler at 6.30 pm. When the two were passing through the GPO Square, a Bolero SUV, driven by Aditya Ajay Tabhane (20), a resident of Mhada quarters, Nari, hit the two-wheeler.

Nisha sustained grievous injuries in the mishap and breathed her last at hospital. A case under Sections 279, 337, 304 (a) of Indian Penal Code read with Sections 184 and 177 of Motor Vehicle Act was registered by Sadar police.

In another incident, 28-year-old biker Surendra Zhariya lost control over his two-wheeler on Wanadongri Road, and sustained a head injury after suffering a fall. He was declared dead. A case of accidental death was registered at the Wadi police station.

In another incident, 65-year-old Kailash Chaware was declared dead at a hospital after his bike was hit by a tanker on Manewada Ring Road. His friend, Rameshwar Deotale, was injured too. Hudkeshwar police have booked a tanker driver after the accident.

Rameshwar Lonare, 36, was killed after being hit by a truck at 8th Mile. He was crossing the road. Wadi police registered an offence against the trucker Azhar Baig.
