Why has there been an increase in road accidents? Citizen’s take:

Active youth of Nagpur Shashank Gattewar says that one of the main reasons for a rise in accidents is poor traffic sense and increase of usage of mobiles while driving. “Another reason is the bad infrastructure. For example no proper stop line reflectors, zebra crossing. Also, there is no strict action taken against these violators, hence they tend to break the rules time and again,” Gattewar said.

Ankita Mishra, resident of Besa said that poor road conditions is one of the main reasons for road injuries. “Bus drivers drive rashly in the city causing trouble to motorists. Even after several complaints, no action is usually taken on them,” she said.
