Jeweller’s bag with ornaments worth Rs 4.75 lakh stolen

Nagpur: AN Unidetified thief stole a bag of a jeweller containing gold and silver ornaments and cash collectively worth Rs 4.75 lakh at Ramtek on Sunday morning.

According to police, complainant Shyam Balchandra Badule (45), a resident of Bhagatsingh Ward, Ramtek, is the owner of Vimal Jewellery Shop at Gandhi Chowk in Ramtek town.

He came to the shop on Sunday at 10.15 am and kept the bag near the shop. While opening the lock of the shutter, he noticed a matchstick inside the lock. Badule went to a tea stall for a knife.

Grabbing the opportunity, the unidentified thief decamped with the bag from the spot.When Badule returned to the shop, the bag was missing from the spot. A case u/s 379 of IPC was registered by Ramtek police
