Dr. Rajan Pandey who also writes column for Nagpur Today and other key publications told NT, “We were on our way to Nagpur from Omkareshwar after leaving from Indore on Tuesday. Our Jaguar was being followed by Fortuner. On Tuesday at around 3 pm, suddenly the sheep came in our way in village Sanavad and the driver tried to force stop the vehicle. As our Jaguar screeched to a halt, the Fortuner hit the car from the rear side. Fortunately, none of us got any major injuries.”

He said that airbags of both the vehicles popped up immediately after the accident. Meanwhile, he added, the villagers gathered at the spot and tried to create the scene. They were demanding compensation for their injured sheep. “However we took the help of local police as the sheep, though injured, was very much alive. Eventually we eased out the situation and proceeded with our journey. We had to take Fortuner to the local garage as it was not good enough to be driven. The vehicle joined us back in half an hour.
All the family members reached Nagpur at 3 am on Wednesday.
