Nagpur: Shradanand Anath Ashram celebrates completion of 89 years. The institution was established in 1927 by Sadashiv Buty As they celebrated their anniversary celebrations some of the feelings that evinced from among the children are that in the heart of every child is a hunger for home. Not just for food and a place to sleep, but for safety, love & affection of parents, brothers and sisters and the community at large. Of all these wants or desires, all that any child wants is love. Shradanand Anath Ashram has proved to be more than a home for unwanted orphans from different parts of Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh.
The Buty family, guided by God’s love has helped in bringing up these children with all the basic amenities, love and affection. Leading businessman of the city B C Bhartiya leaves no stone unturned to make fellow businessmen to contribute to make some infrastructural changes or additions.
Deputy Inspector General (CRPF), Nagpur Range A P Singh, leading industrialist of the region Shilpa Agrawal who won the prestigious ‘Mrs Inspirational’ 2015 award were the Chief Guests. The guests of honour included Former Judge of Family Court Meera Khadatkar, Secretary of Shradanand Anath Ashram Nisha Buty, Commandant of CRPF Manohar Gidwani, President of Shradanand Anath Ashram Gopal Buty, Joint Secretary of Shradanand Anath Ashram Balkrishna Buty and Joint Secretary of Shradanand Anath Ashram Geetanjali Buty and Chairman of Confederation of All India Traders B C Bhartia were prominently present to grace the occasion.

The management of Shradanand Anath Ashram had organized a programme rightly named Udaan.

While addressing the audience Deputy Inspector General (CRPF), Nagpur Range A P Singh said that these inmates who are abandoned by their parents and receive nothing but apathy from government agencies need people like us. He was visibly moved by the children. He urged the members of the management to collect more people in positions like him so that the agency can function well without any hitches. He promised to do everything in his power to help or aid the orphanage.
Former Judge of Family Court Meera Khadatkar while addressing the inmates of the orphanage said that is immaterial where you have come from; there are no barriers for you today in our society. Every girl must develop self-confidence, determination and have a vision to succeed at all costs. She infused a sense of pride in all the inmates.
Earlier Joint Secretary of Shradanand Anath Ashram Geetanjali Buty gave the introduction about the institution.
The inmates performed two dances choreographed by Pawan Mangoli and Arti Iyer. Both the dances were inspirational with a deep set message. The performance and the depiction moved the audience to tears. The concept of male female ratio in India which has got so skewered over the years has made every girl alive consciously and unconsciously feels guilty for her existence, especially if such girls have been given-up at birth and brought up in orphanages. Their turmoil is unimaginable and was depicted beautifully.
