Nagpur: A 90-year-old mentally unstable man died by suicide in Gora Colony, Mehandibagh area under Yashodhara Nagar Police Station here, on Sunday.
The deceased has been identified as Domaji Shibaji Nikode.

Speaking to Nagpur Today, PSI Sirsath informed that Nikode, was mentally unstable. He had also made a failed attempt to end his life in the past; however, he got stuck between the cable wires and survived the incident with a hand fracture.
“At around 4 pm on Sunday, Nikode sneaked to the roof of his house. He then reportedly jumped off the building and collapsed on the ground. He was subsequently rushed to the hospital. However, the doctors had pronounced him dead,” the PSI said.
In the meantime, cops have registered an offence of accidental death as per the protocol.
