Delhi Public School MIHAN celebrated 75th anniversary of India’s freedom with great zeal and fervour on 15th August 2021, in school premises in adherence to all covid 19 protocols. Enthusiastic participants from std VIII and IX, PTA members and teachers, all gathered in school for the flag hoisting and other celebrations. The programme was live on Facebook. Other students joined online.
The participants shared their thoughts confidently as they emphasised on ‘AazadiKaAmritMahotsav’-an initiative by the government of India to celebrate and commemorate 75 years of progressive India. They impressed the audience when they promised to work in the direction of AatmNirbhar Bharat. As India speaks in many voices, speech in Marathi under ‘HarRajyaHarBhasha’ was appreciated by all.
Wonderful poetry recital in Hindi boosted patriotic energy. Mesmerizing live dance and tablajugalbandi left everyone awestruck. It reminded us of our glorious past, the beauty of this country and sacrifices made by our nation’s heroes.
Principal Mrs. Nidhi Yadav, in her address, expressed pride in the rich cultural past of the country. She urged every student to work with honesty and dedication for the nation. The programme ended with the vote of thanks.
