Sanjay Leela Bhansali wins best director award for ‘Bajirao Mastani’; ‘Baahubali’ adjudged best picture.

The 63rd National Film Awards were announced on Monday with honours going to Amitabh Bachchan for the Shoojit Sircar-directed-Piku and Kangana Ranaut for Tanu Weds Manu Returns.

Director Sanjay Leela Bhansali won the best director award for Bajirao Mastani, while S.S. Rajamouli’s magnum opus Baahubali bagged the best picture award.

Kangana Ranaut wins Best Actress: The wonder woman of Bollywood may not have had that great a year as she had in 2014, but Kangana’s act as Kusum Sangwan in Anand L Rai’s ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’ left an indelible impact on our minds. From getting the right diction to having a different body language for the two distinct characters she played, Kangana outshone everyone in the film.
