5 goons assault man, flee with Tata Safari car, cash in Jaripatka

Nagpur: Jaripatka police have mounted a hunt to nab five ruffians who assaulted a young man and also took away his Tata Safari car worth Rs 6 lakh and a cash of Rs 95,000. The incident occurred near a petrol pump on Kamptee Road here on Sunday night.

The victim, Durgesh Ahubhuja Singh (28) of Kamptee Colony No. 3, near Hawamahal Masjid, Kanhan, was filling petrol in Tata Safari car at Mohammed Ali Petrol Pump, Kamptee Road, around 11.45 pm on Sunday. At the same time, the five criminals named Kamalesh Meshram (25), Santosh Yadav 32), Kapil Rangari (25), Umesh Yadav (25) and Sachin Yadav (30) came to the petrol pump and after overpowering Durgesh, took him to nearby Chandni Lawn. The five accused attacked Durgesh with sticks and injured him severely. After the assault, the five miscreants took away Durgesh’s Tata Safari worth Rs 6 lakh and Rs 95,000 kept in the vehicle. The injured Durgesh anyhow reached Jaripatka Police Station and lodged a complaint in this connection.

PSI S R Dongre, after booking the five accused under Sections 395, 397 of IPC, has launched a hunt to apprehend them.
