44 tola gold ornaments burgled from two houses

Nagpur News : From separate incidents, burglars decamped with 44 tola gold ornaments from two houses at Gittikhadan and Koradi police station areas.

Retired MSEB employee, Vilas Shinde had left home for around one and half hour to drive his wife to her office when thieves took advantage and broke open door lock to enter home. Shinde’s wife is employed with NMC.
Shinde claimed that burglars made away with 31 tola gold and diamond studded valuables from the almirah. However,

Gittikhadan police has estimated the loss amount as Rs 3.14 lakhs.

At Koradi, Rajesh Shrivastav’s Om Nagar residence was burgled of 13 tola gold ornaments, camera and cell phones. Shrivastav had been out of town with his family for last two days when thieves broke open the rear door to enter and made away with valuables. While Koradi police has estimated the loss as Rs 1.5 lakhs, Shrivastav claimed it as Rs 4 lakhs.
