4 minor boys, girls go missing from different areas in 24 hours

Nagpur:
Four minor boys and girls went missing from different areas of the city in the past 24 hours and were reportedly abducted by unidentified persons. Cops have launched searches to trace the four kids.

In the first incident, a 14-year old Yash Shyam Gawande, resident of Jaripatka area, boarded a city bus from Durga Mata Mandir, Teka Naka, around 10 am on Monday for returning home. However, he did not return home even after a considerable time. The panicky father of Yash searched him at possible places but could not find him. Finally, a missing complaint was lodged with Jaripatka police.

Similarly, a 47-year old complainant, resident of Wadi, told police that he dropped his 17-year old daughter at her friend’s house in Jawaharlal Nehru Control Colony, Wadi at 10.30 am on August 13, 2016. However, she went missing between 13.8.16 and 22.8.16 and was reportedly abducted by a suspect accused Akash Dilip Rakshit (22) of Anjangaon, Katol.

One more boy, Nitin Gajendra Rajvanshi (16) of Teka Naka, Nari Road and a 16-year old girl of Wadi left their homes on Monday but did not return. Their relatives searched them at all possible places but in vain. Finally, missing complaints were lodged with Jaripatka and Wadi Police Stations.

Jaripatka and Wadi cops, as per the directives of Supreme Court which state that if any minor boy or girl goes missing then the case may be treated as that of kidnapping, have registered cases under Section 363 of the IPC and launched searches to trace the four kids.
