Nagpur: In an audacious act, four waylayers, including a juvenile boy, stopped a middle aged woman, slapped her and snatched her purse containing Rs 24,000 cash near Seminary Hills Balodyan on Wednesday night. Cops have launched a search to nab the four accused.
The complainant, Shobha Jairaj Khobragade (40), resident of Manawata Nagar, near TV Tower, was returning home around 8.15 pm on Wednesday on along with her brother walking. As Shobha reached near Seminary Hills Balodyan midway, the four accused Sheikh Azim, Sheikh Javed, Sheikh Pathan Makdul and the juvenile boy arrived at the spot on two-wheeler and stopped her. Even before Shobha and her brother could sense trouble, the goons slapped her and snatched purse containing Rs 24,000 cash and fled the spot.
Gittikhadan API Gaja has registered a case under Sections 392, 34 of the IPC against the four accused and searching for them.
