Nagpur: A group of four goons assaulted a youth brutally when he refused to part with the extortion money the criminals had demanded from him. The accused ruffians have been booked and reportedly arrested by Jaripatka cops.
The accused Navshad alias Bhuru Khan (24) of Sugat Nagar, Vicky alias Grace Karvade (22) of Kabir Nagar, Mohammed Ibrahim Khan (25) of Panchpaoli and Chhotu Khan (24) of Sugat Nagar phoned the youth Amol Arjun Shambharkar (26) of New Indora and called him near Garjana Beer Bar at Tathagat Square in Jaripatka area. When Amol reached the spot around 5 pm on Tuesday the four accused goons started abusing him and demanded Rs 30,000 as extortion money. When Amol refused to part with the extortion money, the four goons attacked him with wooden sticks and inflicted injuries on his head and hands. After the attack the foursome fled the spot.
Based on a complaint of Amol, Jaripatka PSI P B Khare booked the four accused under Sections 364(A), 385, 323, 294, 506(B) of IPC and reportedly succeeded in arresting them.
