Nagpur: A devastating fire broke out at Kataria Agro Company Pvt Ltd in Hingna MIDC of Nagpur on Monday afternoon. Three workers reportedly died in the fire. Efforts are being made by the fire brigade to bring the fire under control.
It is feared that 20-30 workers are trapped in the company. On getting information about the incident, the Fire Brigade personnel rushed to the spot. Efforts are underway to bring the fire under control by the fire brigade.
Thick smoke billowing from the fire overshadowed the surrounding area and could be seen from a far away distance. Meanwhile, the company has lost crores of rupees in this fire. The exact cause of the fire is still unclear.
Meanwhile, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has expressed deep grief over the incident. He immediately asked the Collector of Nagpur to coordinate in this regard. 3 workers were injured in this incident and they are undergoing treatment at a hospital.
Fadnavis also directed that the injured should get good treatment immediately. Although the Collector is in a meeting in Mumbai, he is continuously coordinating. It is reported that Tehsildar is reaching the spot immediately.
