Nagpur: In Nagpur, an unidentified miscreant defamed and outraged modesty of a Sadar-based 27-year woman publicly by uploading obscene photographs and messages on her email ID. The accused used different IDs of dishamanjit4@gmail.com email and defamed the woman. The unidentified ruffian not only uploaded vulgar images and messages on the email of the woman but also threatened her of dire consequences.
Sadar Woman PSI P Kulmethe, on the basis of complaint lodged by the victimised woman, has booked the unidentified accused under Sections 354(A)(1)(3), 354(D), 500 of the IPC read with Section 67(A) of IT Act and launched a search to trace the culprit.
In similar incident, a couple uploaded filthy messages on the Facebook account of 26-year old woman, resident of Jaripatka area with the intention of defaming her in society. Ironically, the accused Sidharth Wankhede and Vishakha Wankhede happens to be relatives of the victim woman.
Jaripatka ASI Barekar, acting on the woman’s complaint, has registered an offence against the accused Sidharth Wankhede and Vishakha Wankhede under Sections 354(C)(D)(2), 34 of the IPC. No arrests have been made so far in this connection.
