The Nagpur Municipal Corporation has entrusted SUSBDE with the city’s waste-sorting work. The accident at the plant has once again raised questions about worker safety. Questions have been raised over whether the necessary safety equipment was available while the machine was being cleaned, whether the machine had been shut down before the work began, and whether workers had been given the required training and safety gear.

Meanwhile, Wathoda police have begun the process of registering an accidental death case based on a complaint filed by the deceased’s father, Ayub Khan. Police are investigating the circumstances of the accident and whether safety rules were being followed at the plant.
