Nagpur: The Commissioner of Police (CP) Amitesh Kumar, on Monday, shifted 27 Assistant Sub-Inspectors (ASIs), Head Constables, Naik Constables and Constables to the Detection Unit from different police stations, Special Branch and Headquarters on temporary basis till September 30.

Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime) would assess their work for a month at the Detection Unit and submit his report to the City Police Chief about their efficiency in collection of information about the criminals and crime detection. The orders to this effect were issued by Deputy Commissioner of Police (Headquarters) Chetna Tidke as per the instructions of Kumar.
