20-bed multi-speciality hospital to come up in Koradi

DSC_0873Nagpur: Mahagenco and Swami Vivekanand Medical Mission Khapri on Thursday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for constructing a 20-bed hospital at Mahadula in Koradi area. The hospital will be named Swami Vivekanand Multispeciality Hospital Koradi. The hospital will have 24-hour emergency service and will be equipped with a team of expert doctors, state-of-the-art ambulance and medical store. The multispeciality hospital will render health services to project-affected people, employees, contract workers and nearby area citizens at concessional rates. The venture is part of Mahagenco’s corporate social responsibility venture.

The proposed construction of multispeciality hospital is the outcome of a lead taken by Guardian Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule with the aim of providing excellent health services to citizens of Koradi project-affected area. The MoU between Mahagenco and Swami Vivekanand Medical Mission Khapri was signed at Bijlinagar Guest House in Nagpur. The hospital is expected to start functioning from coming July 15, 2016. Those who attended the pact signing ceremony include Chief Engineer of Koradi Power Station Umakant Nikhare, Medical Superintendent Dr Kishore Raut, Deputy Chief Industrial Liaison Officer Sanjay Aswale, Welfare Officer Bhalchandra Gaekwad, Public Relations Officer Yashwant Mohite, and Swami Vivekanand Medical Mission’s Dr Dilip Gupta, Ulhas Bujone, Datta Sagdeo, and other dignitaries.
