Two persons, on Thursday, lost their lives in separate parts of the city under the jurisdiction of Kalamna and Nandanvan police.

In the first incidence, a man between the age 30-40 was found on the tracks near Kamptte Down Line. Kalamna police reached the spot and after performing panchanama they have sent the body for post-mortem. The identity of the body was not established so far. However, police are making speculation that the man had jumped in front of a train with an intention to end his life. Kalamna Police have registered a case of accidental and have started the investigations in this regard.
In another case, a youth opted to quit life on Thursday under the jurisdiction of Nandanvan police station. The deceased has been identified as Sandeep Shyamrao Gaikwad (27), a resident of Nandanvan slums, Galli No. 8. Sandeep was found hanging to the ceiling of his house with a nylon rope. His family members immediately informed Nandanvan police who reached the spot and sent the body for post-mortem after performing panchanama. Police did not recover any suicide note from the scene and reason behind this extreme step could be ascertain so far.
Cops have registered a case of accidental death and started investigations.
