2 masked women, 2 men rob a male co-passenger of Rs 1.25 lakh in auto

Nagpur: Two masked women and their two male accomplices robbed a co-passenger of Rs 1.25 in cash while travelling in an autorickshaw in Tehsil area on Wednesday afternoon.

The victim, Bhaskar Mahadevrao Pihul (56), native of Hingni, Selu in Wardha District, had come to Nagpur on Wednesday. Around 3 pm, he boarded an autorickshaw for going to Shahid Square from Kalimata Mandir in Tehsil area. Midway, two unidentified women with their faces covered in a scarf and two men also boarded the auto. The gang of four con persons diverted Bhaskar’s attention and slyly pilfered cash of Rs 1.25 kept in a bag. After a distance, the four accused disembarked the auto and vanished in the crowd. When Bhaskar reached his destination, he noticed the chain of his bag wide open and the cash missing. He straightaway approached Tehsil Police Station and lodged a complaint in this regard.

PSI Dhakulkar booked the four accused robbers under Section 379 of the IPC and launched a search to nab the offenders.
