Nagpur: An-18-year old girl who had come to Nagpur from Chandrapur for dental treatment was drugged and raped frequently by a man in different hotels of Ganeshpeth area. The accused also threatened to kill her if she opened her mouth. The victim is daughter of accused man’s servant. The girl was raped from August 26 to 29. Cops have launched a search of the accused who has reportedly gone absconding.
According to police, the girl, resident of Chandrapur, had come to Nagpur for dental treatment. The accused Krishna Sedame, resident of Ayyappa Mandir Road, behind Khatri College, Chandrapur, accompanied her. After reaching Nagpur, both the girl and Sedame checked in at Renuka Lodge near Jadhav Square in Ganeshpeth. In the lodge, the accused Krishna Sedame mixed some sedatives in the girl’s cold drink and raped her. After the act, the accused took the girl to another lodge and here too raped her. Initially, an offence was registered at Chandrapur Police Station but since the crime scene came under Ganeshpeth Police Station, a complaint was filed here by the victim girl.
PSI Parchake, acting on the complaint, has booked the accused Krishna Sedame under Sections 376(2)(N), 328, 506, 354(A) of IPC read with Sub-Sections 3(1), 12, 3(2), 5 of Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989. Cops have mounted a search to nab the accused who has reportedly gone absconding.
