The burglars did not spare even the garage-cum-godown of Police Motor Transport Department situated bang near Police Headquarters on Katol Road in Gittikhadan area. An unidentified miscreant or miscreants entered the sprawling garage-cum-godown of Police Department through window number 11 and decamped with 174 pieces of batteries worth Rs 10,000. The baffling theft took place between January 5 and 6.
Gittikhadan PSI V Y Nandgaye, based on a complaint lodged by API Vasudeo Fagoji Hatwar, has registered a case under Sections 380, 461 of IPC and mounted a search to nab the offenders.
