Nagpur: A 17-year old girl was kidnapped from her school in Jaripatka area here on Saturday. In another incident, a 16-year old girl was also abducted by an unidentified person in the same jurisdiction. Cops have mounted a search to trace the girls.
In the first incident, a resident of Jaripatka, father of the 17-year old girl told police that he dropped his daughter to school around 8 am on Saturday. However, when he went to the school to fetch her around 12.15 pm, the girl was nowhere to be seen. The he searched her frantically at all possible places but in vain. Finally, he lodged a complaint with Jaripatka police in this regard.
PSI S R Mishra, as per Supreme Court directive that if a minor boy or girl goes missing then the case be registered as that of kidnapping, has registered a case under Section 363 of the IPC.
Similarly, a 16-year old girl of Jaripatka area was abducted by unidentified person(s) around 8 pm on Sunday.
Acting on the complaint of relative of the girl, PSI S R Mishra as registered a case under Section 363 of the IPC as per Supreme Court directive.
Cops have launched a search to trace both the girls.
