Mumbai: Twelve persons were killed as fire erupted in a snack shop on Khairani Road in Saki Naka on early Monday morning. Four people have been injured in this incident that took place at Bhanu Farsan. The injured have been rushed to Rajawadi hospital.
Around 4.17am on Monday, the fire brigade received a call about a fire at Bhanu Farsan shop located near Laxmi Narayan temple. Three fire engines, four water tankers were immediately rushed to the site. The fire is said to have spread through in the entire ground floor area in electric installations, huge stock of eatables, furniture. The said structure has partly collapsed owing to the incident.
There are still reports of some people being trapped inside the structure and therefore rescue operations are still underway.
