11:00 am: In a written question, the BJP MLAs from Nagpur Sudhakar Deshmukh, Krushna Khopde, Vikas Kumbhare and Sudhakar Kohale wanted to know the status of regularization of daily wage employees working in Government Milk Scheme.
In the written reply, the Dairy Development Minister Eknath Khadse said that from 1985 to 1999, 292 daily wage workers were employed as per requirements. These workers were given work for 18 days in a month. The unions of these workers had demanded work for 30 days. According to a decision taken by the then Labour Minister and Additional Labour Commissioner, 110 workers were given 30 days’ work from 24.4-1999. Some of these workers have died and retired since then. At present, the number of daily wage workers stand at 92. A petition in this regard is pending in Nagpur Bench of Bombay High Court.
