1 officer seriously injured as truck rams into highway patrolling jeep.

Nagpur : To avoid the increase of accidents in the city a highway patrolling unit that travel in jeeps have been set up by the RTO. In one such incident a police jeep was hit by a truck near highway no 7. The impact of the accident left 1 officer seriously injured. The patrolling unit with inspector Naresh Pandurang Parve were patrolling NH-7 when they noticed a speeding truck (MH/ AP-6618), they tried to signal the truck driver to pull aside but the truck driver paid no heed. The truck driver then increased his speed in order to flee and rammed into a Police jeep (MH 21/AG-9902) and fled the place injuring 1 officer in the process. The injured officer Ramesh Malpur (Batch No 254) was then immediately rushed to Kunal Hospital for further treatment. Nandanvan police is investigating the matter
