1.00 pm: The absence of Chief Minister and other key ministers during a discussion on important issue triggered bedlam in Vidhan Sabha (Assembly) on the first day of second week of Winter Session being held in Nagpur. At 1 pm, when the Leader of Opposition Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil initiated the discussion, Sunil Kedar and other opposition members drew attention of the Speaker Haribhau Bagde towards absence of Chief Minister, Revenue Minister and Minister of State during the important discussion. The members protested and sought presence of the CM and other ministers.

As the pandemonium was on, the Finance Minister Sudhir Mungantiwar and Minister Pankaja Munde were seen engrossed in an animated talk. The BJP member Raj Purohit was seen nudging Mungantiwar and Munde to be ‘active’ in the House but his hints went unheeded.

Exactly eight minutes after the uproar began, Revenue Minister Eknath Khadse entered the House and regretted his absence. But he said that due to uncertainty over proceedings in the Assembly, he had gone to Vidhan Parishad (Council) to take part in the proceedings. Khadse’s clarification calmed down the protesting Sunil Kedar and other Opposition members.
