A 25-year old youth not only raped a woman by doling out a marriage promise but also forced her to undergo abortion. The accused called her by caste and refused to marry as well.
According to police, the 25-year old accused Ram Kishore Satpute, resident of Mohad, Narkhed, District Nagpur lured the Ganeshpeth-based woman (25) with a marriage promise. With this promise, the accused Ram Satpute forcibly established physical contacts with the woman frequently from September 2011 to July 2014. When the woman became pregnant, the accused Ram Satpute forced her to undergo abortion. Later the accused called the woman by her caste and flatly refused to marry with her.
Ganeshpeth PSI Parchake, acting on the complaint filed by the woman, booked the accused Ram Kishore Satpute under Sections 376, 313 of the IPC and Sub-Section 3(1)(12) of Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe (Prevention of Atrocities) Act 1989 and investigating the matter further.
